Welcome
My name is Hailey Sisung
I'm a future math educator from New Orleans, Louisiana. I am currently earning my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Education and a minor in Theatre from Louisiana State University. I also serve as a tutor for LSU's introductory math classes and am completing my student teaching obligation at St. Amant High School.

I'm driven by the idea that everyone is capable of learning mathematics. Students often struggle with and dislike math class. My goal is to create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and growing, both in their mathematical knowledge and as individuals.

MATH 4019 - Calculus Internship
Calculus 1 Review
Developed a comprehensive Calculus I course review using LaTeX. Drew on strong content knowledge and pedagogical techniques to clearly explain key concepts and worked examples in a student-accessible manner.
THTR 2022 - Introduction to Theatrical Design
Scenic Design Packet
Designed the scenery for a conceptual production of Machinal. Demonstrated research-based planning through a design statement and visual communication through images, floorplans, and a to-scale physical model.
MATH 3003 - Functions and Modeling
Precise Mathematical Statements
Created a poster highlighting the importance of precise mathematical language in secondary instruction, analyzing a lesson’s effectiveness in this, and communicating insights clearly through visual and written presentation.
MATH 2060 - Math Technology Lab
2D Plots Project
Developed interactive Mathematica programs to demonstrate the geometric reasoning behind integrals and derivatives for various functions. Work reflects a deep understanding of calculus content and the ability to use complex technology.
